Design Competition

After much deliberation, the Wilkinson Eyre Architects proposal was selected as the University’s chosen design for the Forum Project. A great deal of individuals took time to comment on the final 2 shortlisted designs: the feedback of both staff and students was extremely useful in coming to a final decision. The winning proposal by Wilkinson Eyre Architects was the favourite of those who expressed views. Following a two week standstill period as provided for in the competition rules, detailed work then began between the University of Exeter project team and Wilkinson Eyre towards the planning application, which was approved by Exeter City Council in August 2009. Construction work has now commenced and the project is due to be completed by the end of December 2011.
