The creation of the Student Services Centre, part of the University of Exeter’s Forum Project, will provide a comprehensive range of services to students and an invaluable resource for staff. It will integrate ten currently disparate student facing services: Student Finance, Registry Services, Accommodation, Study Skills Advice, the Disability Access Centre and Disability Support Services, International Student Support, Multi-faith Chaplaincy, the Students' Guild Student Advice Unit, Student Counselling and the IT Help Desk.
The Student Services Centre will also house the new Employability and Graduate Development Division’s Career Zone with services to advise and inform students on graduate opportunities, volunteering and work experience and enterprise and self employment. It will also provide a space for employers to meet with students and in which employer fairs and events will be held.
The front desk for the Student Services Centre
will be the flagship Student Information Desk. It will operate 9am to 8pm, Monday
to Friday and 10am – 3pm on Saturdays, in term time, It is expected to deliver
excellent customer service responding efficiently, flexibly and professionally to
80% of non-academic student enquiries.
