"The University apprenticeship for commercial gas is probably one of the most unique in the country, just with the sheer scope of applications, the fact that we’ve run our own £10 million gas network, we support and manage fixed gas systems for research buildings, gas safety systems, pneumatics, etc. I’m confident that there’s not another job in the country that can offer such a broad scope as Exeter does.
I mostly enjoy working with such friendly and experienced people that are always happy to share their knowledge with me."

My days are so productive and rewarding and the learning just seems to happen naturally without me realising.
I also get to go to college a day a week, which is great, hearing how apprentices at other organisations are finding things and just having a chat with people learning and have the same problems as me."

"In one word; opportunities. I left school with only one A-Level, but after completing 18 months of paid work, I will also obtain a foundation degree level qualification after I complete my level 4 in business administration. After that, I could go on to university to study for an undergraduate degree, which was not a viable option for me before.
To have the opportunity to earn whilst I learn, whilst working in a job I love is all I could really ask for. If it was not for this apprenticeship, I likely would have not been able to start working here, or in other places with similar opportunities”

I was welcomed by my team leader who I had been talking to since I got the job, and if I had any questions before I started, I had that point of contact.
