Environment and sustainability research

Environment and Sustainability Strategy

Our world-class environment and sustainability research spans the natural and social sciences, humanities and arts.

All subjects have a common focus on the core challenge of achieving a sustainable future for humanity on Earth.

About

Across our six Colleges we have more than 200 staff engaged in sustainable research bringing in more than £16million a year in research income. In recent years we have seen a significant growth in the impact of our research in this area.

Prof Tim Lenton has undertaken a review of sustainability research across the institution and our partners. This has led to our Environment and Sustainability Strategy and a group of lead interdisciplinary environmental researchers have been co-located on the Streatham Campus.
