Dual Assurance

University’s Council has responsibility for Corporate Social Responsibility and Stakeholder Management.  Both of these are delegated via our Dual Assurance system and there is a CR Dual Assurance group to lead on this work.

Terms

The Group was set up in 2009, following on from the CSR Task and Finish Group and reports to Peter Lacey (lay lead member of Council) and Professor Mark Overton (Deputy Vice Chancellor - External Affairs).

Aims

• For members to act as CR champions and cascade information within their Professional Service and outside it, as appropriate 
• To compile the HEFCE / BITC annual CR index
• To assist in the University’s medium term aim to embed CR best practice across the processes and practices of the University
• To support other members of the group in achieving their function specific aims (where possible)
