Solving problems regarding employability
Psychology Subject Chair Sebastian Bekker developed his problem solving skills through the Student Staff Liaison Committee's initiative to improve employability events and information within the department.
As Sebastian explains, “we set up a Psychology employability page and group, so we have events that run throughout the year to try and increase employability for Psychology students. We also have a module fair… for second year students to come in and see which seminar modules are available in third year, and so [can]… talk to students who have been in those modules and discuss anything that they want with them."
“I think it’s important for students to have their say at University because they are the core”
