Student Engagement

During your time at the University of Exeter, there are lots of opportunities you can participate in to enrich and improve the student experience for you and your fellow students. You can become an academic rep, become a Peer Mentor, volunteer with University community projects, and so much more.

We want you to be partners in producing and creating learning and development opportunities for yourself and others throughout your studies, and these activities are designed to facilitate that. Staff support is also available from various places to help you identify the skills and experience you gain through these opportunities, and how these contribute to your overall personal development. Universities sometimes use the term “student engagement” to refer to these types of activities and to what extent you participate in these throughout your studies.

The Academic Skills and Student Engagement team looks after the Peer Support and Students as Change Agents programmes in particular, although the pages below have more information about a wide range of other activities you can take part in.
