The Accommodation Office achieved the Gold Award in 2012.

There are a number of recycling points located close to our residences.
Our environmental statement
The University of Exeter supports a number of campaigns relating to environmental sustainability, and has its own environmental policy and sustainability action plan.
The University's sustainability pages provide more detail on the measures taken by departments throughout the institution, and the aims which we all work towards.
In recent years the Accommodation Office has lessened its environmental impact by introducing online application forms and contracts, reducing the amount of paper documents produced.
We take part in the nationwide Green Impact campaign each year: in the 2010/11 campaign we attained Silver status, and in the 2011/12 campaign we achieved Gold status. We are now aiming for Platinum in the 2012/13 campaign.
Green Impact is run locally by the University but managed across several HEIs by The Environmental Association for Universities and Colleges (EAUC).
We actively promote recycling and re-use schemes throughout our accommodation in order to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill. A number of recycling points are located close to the residences; there is a sustainability resource map for Streatham campus which can be used to view the recycling points on campus.
We constantly reassess our processes and look for further ways to improve our impact on the environment - if you have any suggestions please let us know!
