The academic year for 2011/12 starts on Monday 3 October 2011 and ends on Friday 15 June 2012.

Guarantee

Our wide range of accommodation both on and off campus allows us to guarantee an offer of a place in University owned/managed/approved accommodation to:

  • New unaccompanied Home, EU or international undergraduates entering into Year 1 of an undergraduate programme who have firmly accepted the offer of a place at the University of Exeter and who have applied for accommodation by 31st July 2011.
  • New unaccompanied international postgraduates from outside of the EU in their first year of study if their applications for accommodation are received by 31 July 2011. Note: You are defined as an 'international' student only if you pay international fees.  There will also be a limited number of places for Home and EU postgraduate students available on a first-come, first-served basis.  International postgraduate students who apply after the above deadline and all Home or EU postgraduates will be offered a place if rooms are still available.  July 2011 - rooms are still available for all Postgraduate students and applications will be considered as they are received.
  • Unaccompanied incoming Study Abroad and Erasmus students at Exeter for the full academic year if their applications for accommodation are received by 31 July 2011.

Students who apply after the above deadlines will be allocated accommodation if places are available. If not, the Accommodation Office will endeavour to provide assistance in helping you find alternative accommodation in the private sector.

If you have Exeter as your insurance or clearing choice, you will not be able to apply for accommodation until your University offer is confirmed. However, once it is, please visit the website to apply as soon as possible. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee you a room but will do our best to offer you any accommodation that may be available.

The guarantee for accommodation as an international student who is coming to the UK for the first time was absolutely wonderful.
