The academic year for 2012/13 starts on Monday 24 September 2012 and ends on Friday 14 June 2013. Our guarantee
With over 5000 bed spaces we are able to offer accommodation to many of our students. Whether you are new to the University or continuing your studies, from the UK or abroad, undergraduate or postgraduate, we have a wide range of accommodation styles, standards and budgets to suit you.
New students
We welcome applications from all students; in particular we guarantee to offer accommodation to the following groups:
- If you are an unaccompanied Home, EU or international undergraduates entering into Year One of an undergraduate programme who has firmly accepted the offer of a place at the University of Exeter.
- If you are an unaccompanied international postgraduate from outside of the EU in your first year of study. Note: You are defined as an 'international' student only if you pay international fees.
- If
you are an unaccompanied incoming Study Abroad and Erasmus student at Exeter for the full
academic year.
We would advise you to make your application by 31 July. Applications for the 2012/13 academic year will open on 16 April 2012.
If you have Exeter as your insurance or clearing choice, you will not be able to apply for accommodation until your University offer is confirmed. However, once it is, please visit the website to apply as soon as possible.
Should your preferred choice not be available, we will provide assistance in finding alternative accommodation in our residences and/or the private sector. For further information please visit our website.
Returning students
Due to the recent expansion of our accommodation, there are now more rooms available and so we are able to offer rooms to returning students, ie students in their second or third years or postgraduates. This means you are able to continue to enjoy the benefits and convenience that living in university accommodation provides throughout your academic career.
The guarantee for accommodation as an international student who is coming to the UK for the first time was absolutely wonderful.
