St Davids - student in room

Please read through all the information carefully as, once you accept the offer, it creates a legally binding contract.

How to apply

All students wishing to be considered for accommodation should make an application via the online accommodation booking system. You will need your University of Exeter Student ID Number to be able to apply for accommodation (a nine digit number beginning with 5 or 6) and an email address.

The University of Exeter Student ID Number will be quoted as part of the further information the University sends you after you firmly accept our offer of an academic place. For undergraduate students, this is a different number from your UCAS number. For enrolled students, this is the number shown on your University card.

If, for any reason, you are unable to apply online, please contact the Accommodation Office.

If you are allocated accommodation one of the following will happen:

  1. University owned or managed accommodation – you will receive an email asking you to log back onto the website to review the offer made to you online.
  2. Nominated accommodation – you will receive information to confirm that you have been nominated to a residence and you will then be contacted by the provider of this accommodation with regards to the contract.

The offer of accommodation will need to be accepted or rejected within seven days. If you do decide to accept the offer you will need to confirm the contract and pay a deposit to secure the accommodation, otherwise the offer will be withdrawn and the room re-allocated to another student.

If you are nominated to a residence, deposit information will be provided with your offer of accommodation.

Unless you have agreed a late arrival date with us in advance, we will re-allocate your room from 12 noon on the first Wednesday after the start of term. If you agree a late arrival date with us and do not arrive on that date, we may also reserve the right to re-allocate your room. If you arrive late you will be liable for the accommodation charges from the start of the contract.
