Before you start to narrow down your choice, you’ll have to think about what is important to you. This might cover:

• Which campus am I based at? Those studying Education, Sport and Health Sciences and students of the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry are based at St Luke’s and normally choose accommodation which is close to that campus.
• Do I want some of my meals provided or to cook all of my own?
• What facilities are important to me?
• Do I want a room just for term-time or during the vacations as well?
• What can I afford?

Self-catered or catered?

In catered halls, during term time, you are provided with breakfast and an evening meal seven days a week and continental breakfast, brunch and dinner at weekends. Weekday lunches may be purchased from a number of outlets on both the Streatham and St Luke's Campus.

In self-catered accommodation you cook for yourself in kitchens where cooking appliances are provided, but not utensils, pans, crockery etc. This offers you a degree of freedom and you may find it more suitable if you require a special diet for medical or religious reasons.

• Undergraduate students may apply for catered halls or self-catering accommodation.
• Part year Study Abroad and Erasmus students may only apply for self-catered accommodation.

Location

All the catered halls, except St Luke’s Hall, are on the Streatham Campus. Self-catered flats and houses are availlable both on and close to both campuses. Our maps show the various locations available in relation to University campuses and academic buildings.
