Looking for accommodation for the next academic year?

As a Research student you have a number of options when looking for accommodation and you will need to ensure that your housing matches your individual requirements but you may like to consider the following:

University accommodation in Exeter

If you are going to be studying at one the Exeter campuses of the University of Exeter, you may fall within our accommodation guarantee if you are studying at the University of Exeter for the full academic year starting in September. We guarantee to offer accommodation to all new unaccompanied postgraduates from outside the EU, and encourage you to apply for accommodation by 31 July in your year of entry. Applications open online for the for 2020/21 open 6th April at 9:00AM.

Postgraduate research students who fall outside the guarantee can make an application for accommodation, but we may be unable to offer you accommodation due to the pressure on bed spaces. If you submit an application, we will provide you with an update on the situation with regards to the availability of accommodation at that time.

Private housing in Exeter

If you do not fall under our accommodation guarantee or would prefer finding private accommodation in the city centre through a landlord or agent please visit our private housing pages to see what options are available.

Bringing your family to Exeter

If you are bringing your partner and/or children with you for a full academic year, there are a small number of family flats available which you may wish to apply for. However, you are likely to need to find private accommodation in the city centre.

Looking for accommodation in Exeter for the current academic year?

Are you arriving between October - August of the current academic year and require University accommodation? Please contact us in order for us to check our availability. Alternatively, you could consider private housing.
