Sports fundraising lunch

Weybridge, Surrey 12.30pm for 1pm start.;

Alumni Don and Sheila Cawthron are hosting a lunch party at their home in Weybridge, Surrey on Sunday 16 October 2011 to raise money for the Convocation Sports Scholarship.  Convocation is the University’s official alumni association.  The Sports Scholarship supports deserving Exeter Sports Scholars who combine academic pursuits with serious commitment to their chosen sport.

All University of Exeter alumni are welcome and encouraged to join the lunch. The charge will be £20 per head (or more if you are feeling generous) payable in advance and fully inclusive of all food and drink.

Last year two sports students: Amanda Dean (a triathlete) and Matt Cross (a rugby player) were sponsored by Convocation’s Sport Scholarship and this academic year (2010/2011) Ellen McIvor (a netball player, also studying for a Masters in International Management) has been chosen to receive the Sports Scholarship.  We hope to sponsor another student through 2011/2012, so please join us for what promises to be an enjoyable and fruitful afternoon.
