'Science Without Borders' students were invited as guests of an Exeter City FC match
Santander Universities UK has generously supported the University of Exeter in funding and pledged gifts of more than half a million pounds.
This generous philanthropic funding has supported a wide range of projects including studentships, travel bursaries, and exchange programmes.
A large number of Year Abroad students have been supported with bursaries to visit countries in Latin America and Iberia.
Under the Science Without Borders programme, Brazilian students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects are able to study at Exeter.
And the wider community has also benefited from the generous backing for the ‘Campus as a Living Laboratory’ Project. This environmental initiative has brought together students, staff and local residents, with the aim of restoring natural habitats on campus and creating wildlife corridors linking with other green spaces in Exeter.
Over £130,000 of funds raised this year have been kindly donated by national and international businesses such as Santander who provide support to a number of Exeter students.
