The International Project volunteering trip to Ghana received funding in 2012

Annual Fund disbursement

Each year the Annual Fund supports a vast range of projects which have a direct impact on student life, campus environment and facilities at Exeter.  Applications are invited from projects across the University on an annual basis each spring.

A Disbursement Panel meet to consider applications and make recommendations to the Registrar and Director of DARO on which projects should be supported. The panel comprises academic and professional services staff, representatives from the Students' Guild and current donors to the University.

If you would like to become a member of the panel or would like further information on what is involved, please contact Rose Hinks at R.Hinks@exeter.ac.uk or 01392 725012.

Annual Fund Reserve

In response to the number of requests the Development and Alumni Relations team receive throughout the year for funding from across the University, we have established the Annual Fund Reserve. All colleges, the Student’s Guild, societies and Professional Service teams from all campuses are eligible to receive support from the fund.

Those requesting funding will be asked to complete a short application form detailing what funding is needed and providing reasons why funds should be sourced from the Reserve. Each application will be judged against the criteria below and the Director of DARO along with up to six members of the Annual Fund Disbursement panel will authorise requests to a maximum of £2,000, at the Director’s and panel’s discretion.

Funding from the Reserve will be available on an annual basis, throughout the year.

Criteria against which applications will be judge include:

  • Does the application impact a large audience?
  • Does the application make a qualitative difference to the student experience?
  • Does the application ‘put Exeter on the map'?
  • Is the application inspiring and innovative?

Funds will be distributed on a first come first served basis and responses to requests will be provided promptly.

Please submit your completed application form to Rose Hinks, Annual Giving Officer (R.Hinks@exeter.ac.uk).
