Kasia Giannini (History with European Studies, 2007)
Assistant Brand Manager, Unilever PLC
Role: Recent Alumni (Exetra)
I joined Unilever UK & Ireland after graduating from Exeter, initially as a Channel Marketing Executive, later moving to the role of Customer Marketing Executive. In December 2010 I moved to Unilever PLC Global Head Office and currently work in the Global Brand Development team for Toni&Guy hair care and styling. I look after innovation projects from the product development stage through to master print and digital asset creation and adaptation for Toni&Guy markets worldwide.
I was impressed to learn that Exeter was organising events for recent alumni and volunteered to help on the committee of Exetra – the University’s group for those who graduated from Exeter in the last 10 years. Since becoming Chair, Exetra has grown significantly and we organise informal events which encourage alumni to network and socialise, as well as more focused workshops and talks to help recent alumni to establish themselves in their career. It’s really rewarding being part of a group who love Exeter as much as I do and are committed to providing a useful resource for recent alumni.
In 2010 I became Chair of Exetra and also a member of the Alumni Network Group with responsibility for recent alumni activity.
"Your University sets out the blueprint for your future and it was that conviction that had led me to become a member of the Alumni Network Group; I want to help the University remain relevant and useful for graduates, to enable recent alumni to stay close to the University and help develop a network of alumni within London and beyond."
