Networking at the 2012 Business School Reception
Business School Alumni Association
The Business School Alumni Association builds on the work of the former Business and Economics at Exeter Graduates' Association (BEEGA).
It was formed at the request of alumni who wish to network with each other through their connections with the Business School and professional interests in business.
The association provides opportunities for alumni of the Business School, and alumni of the University of Exeter with an interest in the Business School alumni association, to network with and support each other in their professional development.
The association is supported by the Business School Alumni Advisory board, who meet regularly to discuss alumni engagement events, activities and communications. They ensure you find your alumni network rewarding and engaging. The group is led by:
- Xanthe Bowker-Douglas (Accounting and Finance with French): Risk Manager, M&G Investments
- Laura Brownsell (Economics and Politics): Assistant Manager, UK Media and Relations, Fidelity Worldwide Investment
- Colin Fletcher (MA Economics): Fellow, SAMI Consulting
- Lucy Berwick (French and Spanish): Human Resources Analyst, Blackstone
- Nigel Primmer (Economics): Executive Director, FINEX at Willis Ltd
- Galib Virani (MSc Finance and Investment): Associate Director, Afren Plc
The Association is grateful to a number of alumni who have recently hosted events for the association, including Barry Bateman (Economics 1966), Vice-Chairman of Fidelity International at Fidelity, Nigel Primmer (Economics 1977), Executive Director, Willis Limited, at Willis, Simon Figgis (Law 1977), Partner at KPMG and Christopher Pease (Politics 1980), Director of Private Clients at Sarasin & Partners.
If you would like more information about the Business School Alumni Association or are interested in becoming involved, perhaps by starting up a country-based or special interest group, please contact the School’s Alumni Officer Emma McFadyen (E.McFadyen@exeter.ac.uk).
