Sport
The University has recently launched a sporting alumni initiative to engage alumni, particularly recent graduates, back into their former sports clubs.
The student committees of the following clubs have been particularly proactive in creating sport-specific alumni groups and are keen to hear from their alumni: Rugby, Hockey, Football, Sailing, Rowing, Lacrosse, Netball, and Cricket.
Membership to alumni groups gives alumni benefits such as regular newsletters, invites to existing club events and specific alumni events.
In return for membership, alumni are asked to donate a small amount to support their club's activities.
Each sports club keeps all funds accrued from their alumni group, using it to enhance the sporting experience for future club members.
Those clubs not listed above are welcome to create an alumni club of their own with support from the Athletics Union and Sports Office.
Simon Tyson (Exercise and Sport Sciences 2008) and AU President 2008-09, is now employed by the Sports Office and heads up the Sporting Alumni initiative. For more information about joining a sporting alumni club contact Simon at S.Tyson@exeter.ac.uk
