BA CH Philosophy and Politics (2018)

What did you enjoy about your particular degree programme?

The thing I enjoyed the most about my degree has been the way in which my professor encouraged me to use what we learnt in class as a platform to develop my own ideas.

Tell us about the award you have received. What does this award mean to you?

Winning the award was a great feeling. It is always nice to get recognition for one’s efforts, and although I never struggled in my time at university I did work very hard and it was really rewarding to see my efforts recognised by the university.

What has been the highlight of your time at Exeter?

I think what I have enjoyed the most in my three years at Exeter has been playing BUCS football. People from the UK might not be aware of the fact that in other countries (like my country: Italy) sports are not a part of university at all, which is a shame! Representing my university on the football pitch was an indescribable feeling.

What will you miss the most about University?

No doubts: the people I’ve met.

What advice would you give to current and future students?

To be organised! Time management is the most fundamental skill at university. If you are organised, you will have so much free time on top of the hours spent to study, if you are not, your three years at university will not be fun.

What are your plans now that you have graduated?

I want to work somewhere around the world for one year. Then, I will apply for PhDs in Philosophy in the US.
