Alumni celebrate the opening of the Business School’s new building

On Tuesday, 3rd May 2011, alumni gathered at Fidelity International in London to celebrate the opening of the Business School’s impressive new £18m building.

The reception, generously hosted by Barry Bateman (Economics 1966), Vice-Chairman of Fidelity International, was attended by over 30 alumni and guests.

Many attendees were supporters of the Business School and the event was an opportunity to thank them and to update them on progress with fundraising and the “triple-match challenge”.

Professor Mark Overton, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, updated guests on recent University achievements and Professor Robin Mason, Acting Dean of the Business School, outlined the Schools successes and vision for the future.  Guests got an insight into how the new building, with its high-tech infrastructure, has been designed to transform the experience of both staff and students, as well as other business users, from Sue Hudson (MBA 2011), the School’s Senior Project Manager.

Photos from the reception can be found in our Events Photo Gallery.
