20 year reunion for international alumni

Six alumni and their families returned to Streatham, some of them for the first time since leaving 20 years ago.

The group wanted to celebrate the long years since their time at Exeter with a holiday in Devon and a visit back to Streatham campus. They came with partners, spouses, siblings and 16 children!

The group of friends met for the first time in 1994 at Hoopern Lodge, a former residence of the University. They instantly became friends, sharing their Exeter experience and cultures throughout their year of study.  After Exeter, some managed to visit each other in their home countries, attend weddings and even becoming godparents for each other’s children.

Tiara reminisces, “Exeter holds so many fond memories for all of us, and coming together again after nearly 21 years for the first time is special.”

From Germany came Martin Stoewer (Study Abroad 1994) and Stefan Kamm (Study Abroad 1994); from France Marine Stephan and Alain Lebellu (Study Abroad 1994); from Spain Jose Ignacio Parellada (LLM ‘94); from Italy Giorgio Marincola (Study Abroad); from Singapore Elizabeth Chelliah (LLM ’94); and from the USA Tiara Inserto (MA'94). Members of this group of friends unable to attend include Sergio Godoy of Chile (MBA’94), Manuel Botello of Mexico (MBA’94) and Anna Coleman of England (MA’94).

If you are interested in coming back to campus for a reunion with your group of friends please email alumni@exeter.ac.uk for more information.
