Helping Exeter Build Back Better
Here at Exeter we are committed to making the world a better place. Whether we are tackling climate change, developing cures for disease, or helping ensure that all young people have the chance to pursue their dreams.
In recent years we have, for example, achieved a ban on the use of plastic microbeads, transformed the treatment of neonatal diabetes, introduced a ‘no-fault’ divorce bill, and helped health services to diagnose cancer earlier. But there is always more that needs to be done.
The concept of Build Back Better comes from the idea of using a disaster as a trigger to become more resilient, tackle threats and prepare for the future.
There’s no doubt the pandemic has had a severe impact on the world, but at Exeter we are working as hard as ever to create a healthier, more sustainable and more inclusive future.
