Help students gain the ‘ex-factor’ and learn skills to be more employable
Psychology, Geography and Institute of Arab and Islamic Studies alumni only
• Want to help students get a head start on the skills needed to get a job after graduation?
• Could you work with students and share your experiences of studying and life since graduation?
• Fancy coming back to Exeter for 1 day, expenses paid?
As part of eX-factor, a new two-day careers skills programme for first-years, we want students to learn from those who have been there – you! To inspire and provide an insight into what can be learnt from a degree, we’d like recent graduates to come and join us for a day to help out by:
• Getting involved in the skill exercises with the students.
• Giving a brief (no more than 10 minutes) presentation on your career, and how you got there.
• Meet with students informally during the day to discuss your career and any questions they might have.
We’re holding sessions for students on 3 - 4 October for Psychology, 10 - 11 October for Geography and 7 – 8 November for IAIS.
If you’re interested in helping, and are free on one of dates listed for your department, please contact the programme’s coordinator for more details, Natalie Archer, n.archer@exeter.ac.uk .
