Exploring future pathways in the area of health

Professor John Bessant led this one-day sandpit event. It brought those with an interest in healthcare research from PCMD and the NHS together with leadership experts from the Business School to explore new research ideas. In the ‘soap box’ session, around 20 participants each had up to 5 minutes to present their research ideas, before networking over lunch and splitting into groups to develop collaborative ideas for new projects. The 4 group leaders presented their ideas at the end and will be developing them into funding proposals.
