One year on, this was a chance to hear about projects funded through Bridging the Gaps and discuss the benefits and challenges of cross-disciplinary working.
Workshop
14.00-16.30, Poldhu Room
Following an introduction by Professor David Butler, PI of the BTG project, the workshop followed an interactive 'Question Time' format. Each of the first round BTG project awards was represented on one of two consecutive panels. Panel members briefly summarised their projects and progress to date, before discussing the befits and challenges of working across disciplines with members of the audience. So far, experiences have been very positive and remarkably few obstacles have been encountered. Professor Myra Strober from Stanford University, our visiting expert, advised on multidisciplinary working and overcoming challenges.
