We aim to ensure that the outcomes of the world class research undertaken at the University of Exeter are translated into commercial application for the benefit of society and the economy. We are leaders in cutting-edge science, engineering, mathematics and medicine research, as well as having a world-class reputation in the humanities and social sciences.
In order to develop these commercially valuable ideas and inventions Research and Knowledge Transfer works closely with commercial partners and investors to realise the potential of our research.
The benefits of translating this research into commercial applications include:
- Converting research and ideas into marketable commercial products
- Utilising this knowledge for the greater benefit of society and the economy
- Financial incentives
- Possibility of investing into future research
We have many commercial partnerships and are keen to develop additional sustainable, long term relationships in this sector.
