Easy Access Intellectual Property
The University of Exeter is an Easy Access Innovation university, which means we promote new ways of sharing intellectual property to make it easier for universities and industry to work together.
We are offering a portfolio of technologies available to license for free under Easy Access Intellectual Property (IP) to make it easier for companies to obtain more university IP and put it to use.
We are offering these licences for free, using quick and simple agreements, so companies can explore the possibilities with reduced risk. There are two types of licences:
Our aim is to increase the engagement between universities and industry, and accelerate the transfer of university knowledge and expertise into the hands of the best commercial partner who can develop it to benefit the economy and society.

| RecComp: Recycling of composite materials | This technology allows recycled fibrous material to be incorporated into sheet moulding compound. |
| Controllable magnetic systems: Miniaturised controllable magnetic devices | Miniaturised controllable magnetic devices capable of propulsion (swimming) in fluid systems of low Reynolds number. Devices may be induced through a non-contact magnetic control system to swim through a viscous liquid that may be flowing or if the device is fixed within a channel it may be used as a pump or valve. |
| Cell screen for vaccine candidate discovery | An invention relating to novel screening processes for detecting genes from harmful bacteria that produce factors involved in infection and are potential vaccine candidates. |
