The University of Exeter is home to an array of world-leading manufacturing research centres and institutes. Our research spans materials, manufacturing technologies, manufacturing systems, supply chains, and operational and strategic management

Our centres are:

• Exeter Advanced Technologies (x-AT): Commercial manufacturing processes and materials development.
• Centre for Additive Layer Manufacturing (CALM): Providing access to leading additive manufacturing technologies and expertise across the South West.
• Centre for Graphene Science: Undertaking cutting-edge research into an exciting and revolutionary new material.
• Exeter Manufacturing Enterprise Centre (XMEC): Multi-disciplinary research centre carrying out advanced research in manufacturing technology, systems, and management.
• Materials and Manufacturing Engineering: Our research interests centre on how to develop, produce, and exploit the commercial benefits of new materials, innovative new products and high value, low-carbon processes.
