Business incubation centres
The University of Exeter is a partner in two Exeter based incubation centres and is committed to providing the right environment for organisations to thrive in the South West.
Exeter Innovation Centre
Exeter Innovation Centre offers office space for research and development focused new and growing companies.
Businesses based within the centre have access to: business advice, academic expertise and courses, plus student and graduate projects. Companies span a range of industry sectors, including biosciences, biomedical, environment, software, advanced manufacturing and the internet.
The Exeter Innovation Centre also provides space for meetings, conferences and training.
Exeter Science Park
Exeter Science Park is currently in development and will be an innovation hub for science based industry. There is space available for businesses of different sizes and whether they are start-up companies, small and medium enterprises or subsidiaries of multinationals they will have one thing in common, which is growth.
The Science Park will help foster collaborations between companies and promote communication and cooperation between the knowledge base and the private sector.
The SETsquared partnership is a collaboration set up to encourage business and industry engagement through: enterprise activities, spin-out companies, licensing, incubation, and research and development services.
SETsquared has supported over 1,000 hi-tech start-ups to develop and raise more than £1bn of investment, as well as contributing over £3.8bn to the UK economy. The partnership currently supports 265 companies across its centres and has created over 9,000 new jobs.
SETsquared has risen from the Number two spot on the global list and was ranked alongside some of the world's best university business incubators.
