Chartered Manager (BSc Hons Applied Business Management)
The Chartered Manager (BSc Applied Business Management) Degree Apprenticeship is suitable for professional managers who work across a wide range of industries and sectors with an interest in developing their business and management acumen. Delivered through a flexible blended learning model, the programme allows employers to recruit, train and retain high-calibre talent in partnership with the University.
Our syllabus is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). Successful completion of the programme will result in the award of a BSc (Hons), a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship, and a CMI Level 5 qualification in Management and Leadership.
Apprentices will be full-time employees of your business, gaining a University of Exeter degree over three years through:
- Two to three day residentials in Exeter, or at host employer’s premises, at four points during the year (Sep, Nov, Feb, Apr)
- Weekly distance learning comprising online classes and workshops, interactive exercises and recorded lectures
- Work-based learning, assessing projects undertaken in the workplace
Apprentices will spend around 20 per cent of their employed time doing off-the-job training, as set out within the funding rules. Our model is however designed to be flexible around the needs of employers and workloads. No weekly day-release is required, mitigating disruption on the apprentice’s daily role and meaning we can work with employers across the country.
Our dedicated partnerships team liaise closely with employers throughout the programme; we can assist you with recruiting, education support and administration. Each apprentice is allocated an Academic Mentor to ensure their successful completion of the programme.
Tuition fees for this three-year programme are £27,000.
Employers who pay the Apprenticeship Levy will pay these fees directly through that contribution.
