First DataBank Europe (FDBE) have been extremely pleased with the five graduates they have taken on in the last year. FDBE are the leading provider of drug knowledge and clinical decision support in the United Kingdom. The company maintains a comprehensive drug database providing healthcare professionals with targeted clinical information at the point of care.
University of Exeter graduates Michael Alborough and Greg Stapleton have been helping the company in their Knowledge Base Services team. With degrees in Biological Sciences, and Biological and Medicinal Chemistry, Michael and Greg were selected to bring new and innovative thinking to the company. Michael’s placement finished in April and he was offered a permanent place in the company. FDBE said they will continue to use the scheme in the future.
The scheme provides great value for money; the initial cost of the employee is so much lower than the cost of a contractor or permanent employee and there are no agency or advertising fees. Our experience with the Graduate Business Partnership scheme has been very positive and as the company continues to grow we hope that we will be able to continue to offer placements in an expanding healthcare field.
