International partnerships.

For the University of Exeter, co-operation with universities worldwide, sharing world-class research and providing opportunities for all students through exchanges and study abroad, is very much in keeping with our status as one of the top universities in the UK.

The University of Exeter has built up accordingly a network of agreements with over 180 universities in 36 countries, encompassing a wide range of activities, including joint research, student exchange and general Memoranda of Understanding.

Student exchanges are a major component of our international partnership work.  We are committed to offering as many students as possible the opportunity to spend a part of their degree programme abroad, and we have been sending students on exchanges for over 30 years.  The University of Exeter has approximately 150 student exchange agreements with universities in the USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and across Europe.

The University of Exeter has a long tradition of accepting students for Study Abroad: our longest-established programme is with Kenyon College, in the United States of America. Today we have a number of Study Abroad agreements with partner universities across the world. These partnerships enable students to study at Exeter and take academic credits back to their home university.  Students are able to choose modules from our entire undergraduate programme (excluding the Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry), hosted by 35 departments.
