Anti-social behaviour
On average, a very small percentage of students have to be reprimanded for anti-social behaviour off campus, but when students do behave in an unacceptable manner, the University can exercise a variety of disciplinary measures. The University of Exeter greatly values its reputation in the local community, as a result, the Vice-Chancellor and the Student’s Guild jointly agreed an Anti-Social Behaviour Zero Tolerance Policy.
The University, in partnership with the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary, have also established an ‘escalation process’ to clarify the approach for implementing the University’s Anti-Social Behaviour Zero Tolerance Policy. The escalation process outlines the various levels of action that can be taken by the University and the Police in dealing with student anti-social behaviour.
