Facilities Services Management

The Facilities Management Services team consists of cleaners, porters, transport and mail room operatives who are committed to providing the best service possible to our customers. We undergo professional training to prepare us for the tasks required and are interlinked to work closely with each other to maintain this service.

Campus cleaning

Our teams of cleaners ensure that all academic buildings are cleaned to British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc) standards to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

Campus porters

Our porters, across both campuses, carry radios which are monitored by campus security, enabling the security team to respond quickly to incidents and suspicious behaviour. They also provide advice and assistance to the users of academic buildings.

Transport Services

Provide a facility for the University which include the following services:

• Convey equipment and large parcels across both Exeter and Cornwall campuses
• Dispose of IT equipment, general rubbish and white goods
• Administer the free staff/student bus service
• Manage University cars and drivers for the use of the University’s Senior Executives
• Cornwall deliveries - a regular service is provided between Exeter and Tremough on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the year (excluding bank holidays and closure days).

Mail room

We aim to provide a cost effective, customer orientated mail service throughout the University on a daily basis.We are located in the Main Library on Stocker Road.
