How do I make a booking?

Internal customers can book directly online for bookings on both the Streatham and St Luke's Campus.

External customers please place complete the booking request form.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept verbal bookings. The Fresh Ideas team are always happy to assist but are unable to make bookings on behalf of the customer.

Do you have any advice on menu selection?

Our menus have been reviewed and relaunched for 2017. Some of our most popular items still feature, along with some exciting new additions. To add further variety, customers have the option to add further items to their booking from our 'Additional Extras' menu. If you're hosting a large event for over 100 people, please do get in touch and we can advise how best to add variety to your catering order. We are unable to offer hot food due to logisitics. However, buffet items are freshly cooked before leaving the kitchen. We do recommend that your buffet is consumed as near to the time of delivery so as to ensure the best dining experience.

Why can't I select more than one buffet type for my booking?

Ordering more than one buffet naturally increases the food selection for your guests. Past experience has shown that food tends to run out quicker, which in turn can lead to inconvenience and disappointment. We also lack the kitchen space to efficiently prepare a number of mixed buffets. To maintain optimum service levels we made the decision to remove this option.

I have both meat eaters and vegetarians attending my event. How can I feed them both if I am unable to order more than one buffet type?

All of our buffets (with the exception of Buffet D, which is completely vegetarian) offer meat, fish and vegetarian items. Please ensure that you note on your booking how many vegetarians will be attending and we will substitute some of the meat and fish items for vegetarian alternatives.

Can you cater for dietary requirements?

Special dietary requirements, including religious options can be catered for. Please select your relevant items at the time of ordering.

Due to the necessary strict requirements, we are unable to provide Kosher food. We can provide Vegan food, although this does not meet strict Kosher laws.

We can provide certain Halal products, which are available on request.

We are unable to guarantee that our food does not contain traces of nuts.

Whilst we do always try to produce the exact menu agreed, there may be times when we have to change an item on the menu for unforeseen circumstances. We will, of course, always replace it with a suitable alternative. Every effort will be made to inform you of any changes, should they arise.

Can you provide staff?

Waiter/waitress service is available (minimum three hours) at £12.00 per hour or part hour. We do ask that you give us five working days notice to be able to organise staff but unfortunately we are not always able to guarantee availability. We will inform you no later than 48 hours before your event takes place if we are unable to staff your event. Our staff are asked to arrive one hour before the beginning of an event for set up purposes.

We strongly recommend that you request staff for drinks receptions and other events where alcoholic beverages are to be offered, or indeed any event with 100+ guests.

When will you collect catering items?

We endeavour to collect all our equipment on the same day or by 9.00am the following day. It's incredibly helpful to us if, at the time of booking, you can indicate clearly when is convenient for us to collect items. We ask that all items are packed up, ready for collection after your event and where possible are left outside the room. If the location happens to change then you just need to let the Fresh Ideas office know. 

Is there a set time in which we should consume our food?

Once delivered, we strongly advise that you keep your food covered and away from direct sunlight and other heat sources. Food deteriorates when it's left out at room temperature so it's advisable to eat it as near as possible to delivery time and most certainly within one hour of receipt. After three hours any food should not be consumed for safety reasons.

If I am ordering tablecloths, how many do you suggest I will need?

As a guide we suggest the following, though tables do vary in size:
