Information for prospective students

Welcome to Exeter!  There is no music degree at Exeter (although we may be running some optional modules in due course), but there are no barriers to getting involved with extra-curricular music, whatever your previous experience or degree subject!  The best way to get a flavour of the music going on here is to have a look at the film that Exeter students made last term.

How to get involved with music

Missed Welcome week or joining us during the year?  Drop into Knightley for advice on how to get involved in societies, scholarships, find a teacher or use the practice rooms.

Andrew: “…Music changed my life…”

 Learning how to learn:

Challenging “rote-learning”;   Helping you question the way you think…   …and the way you learn…   …and improve both!

Learning to relate:

Getting things done;   Strategies for constructive cooperation;   Relying on others, being accountable…   …whilst still having fun!

As well as enhancing  your time at University, both of these areas are crucial to success in future working life, and evidence that you can think about and discuss these things is attractive to employers.
