AUTUMN TERM BOOKINGS NOW OPEN!
Make an impact by running a high profile showcase event on our Streatham campus. Our unique facilities allow for large-scale installations allowing you to raise your profile with our students and meet informally with potential employees. With indoor and outdoor spaces suitable for anything from giveaways to double decker buses, this event type allows you to get creative and deliver a larger, more visual and highly interactive drop-in.
The relaxed environment lends itself to promoting your organisation to those passing by, as well as those who have already undertaken research and are eager to speak in more depth about your opportunities. These events can be arranged as a one-off activity or alternatively, you may wish to schedule in other sessions as part of your visit.
Due to the nature of these events, they are only available in-person.
We anticipate that in-person teaching will be going ahead as planned for 2022-23. Some sessions may be delivered online. Please get in touch with email@example.com if you are considering delivering a Streatham campus (Exeter, Devon) showcase. Please bear in mind that all physical bookings still require robust risk assessments and protocols to be followed in order for them to go ahead. They will also be subject to the latest COVID-19 guidance.
Please click on the headings below for more information, including charges.
If you are a current student visiting this page, please visit Handshake for a list of all upcoming showcase events.
Indoor showcase events are located within the Forum building, in an area known as ‘The Street’. Click here to view a photo of this space.
Outdoor showcase events can be held on our North Piazza or Great Hall Piazza, depending on requirements. The North Piazza is immediately outside the main Forum entrance whilst the Great Hall Piazza is adjacent to the Forum building. The outdoor venues are flexible and can accommodate a range of activities from marquees to vehicles (subject to permission).
The Forum is located at the heart of the campus making it an ideal location for high profile activity. It houses the main library, supermarket, coffee shops, Career Zone, seminar rooms, and a 400 seater auditorium. A busy space, pre-COVID-19 it attracted approximately 6000 visitors each day, with students of any discipline passing through.
Most bookings are made for the autumn and spring term (February is typically our busiest period), but showcases are held throughout the academic year. Offered Monday – Friday, they can take place anytime between 09:00 - 17:00. Most organisations opt for a 10:00-14:00 or 11:00-15:00 slot but it is flexible and entirely to your choosing. We do, however, recommend that you cover the lunch period to maximise student attendance and ask that your event is booked for a minimum two hours.
Please note the earliest you are able to set up your showcase is from 08:00.
Showcases are advertised via:
- The Career Zone website
- Our internal events site ‘Handshake’
- Email circular, sent to all Streatham and St Luke’s based students (approximately 20,000)
- Via our social media channels.
Where appropriate, the events will also be included in College-based marketing material.
In order to benefit from all the publicity opportunities and get the best attendance, we urge you to book a date with us as early as possible - many employers secure their preferred dates when we first open for bookings (spring, for the upcoming autumn term). As the spring term has increased in popularity resulting in extremely high demand, we strongly recommend booking well before the end of the autumn term to avoid disappointment.
We advise at least 4 weeks notice minimum between booking and the live event.
Showcase events start from £250+VAT for indoor events and from £300+VAT for outdoor. Additional charges apply if access to electrical points is required.
We had a very successful day on Campus in the Forum at Exeter University for our Spin and Win UK tour. Location wise, the Forum is perfect as it really is the heart of the university. We had an excellent space within the main foyer with plenty of room around us to enable us to engage easily with the passing students whilst also allowing our brand to be seen. Being central in the university meant that there was tremendous footfall and allowed us to network and engage with a large volume of students. I would recommend the Forum as the perfect place to anyone wishing to raise their brand on campus.
