Recruitment presentations

Presentations provide the ideal opportunity to meet students who are particularly interested in your company and for you to make them aware of the opportunities you can offer.

Many employers give company presentations during the autumn term, with the spring term also gaining in popularity. October and November are peak times, followed by February and March. Recruitment presentations usually last between one – two hours and are often followed by networking.

Whilst most take place in the evening, on campus, daytime events can also be arranged. Local organisations may wish to consider holding such an event on their premises, if practical. For presentations on campus, we can book the venue for you, as well as any equipment and catering requirements you may have.

For daytime presentations (on campus) we recommend scheduling your presentation over the lunch period to ensure maximum attendance. For evening presentations (on and off campus) we recommend starting your presentation at 6.00pm and follow with networking wine and nibbles, or Pint and a pasty in out Stannary bar.

Recruitment presentations are advertised via our website, email circulars and social media channels.

We operate an electronic sign-up system from our events web page, which will provide a good indication of the number of students likely to attend your presentation. Please note that for the Cornwall Campuses we would expect attendances to average 20 students.

We accept bookings throughout the year. However, in order to benefit from all the publicity opportunities and get the best attendance, we urge you to book a date with us as early as possible.

We currently do not charge an administration fee for presentations held at our Cornwall campuses. However, additional charges will apply for catering, equipment hire and AV support.
