Presentations provide the ideal opportunity to meet students who are particularly interested in your company and for you to make them aware of the opportunities you can offer.

Autumn Bookings and COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

Whilst we are taking provisional bookings for autumn 2020, we are closely monitoring the situation surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and will advise should we have to make any changes to our programme. Many employers give recruitment presentations during the autumn term, with the spring term also gaining in popularity. October and November are peak times followed by late January and into February. Recruitment presentations usually last between one – two hours and are often followed by networking. Events on campus sessions are, where possible, video conferenced between our campuses in Exeter and Penryn, Cornwall.

Whilst most take place in the evening, either on campus or at one of the local hotels in Exeter city centre, daytime events can also be arranged. Local organisations may wish to consider holding such an event on their premises, if practical. For presentations on campus, we can book the venue for you, as well as any equipment and catering requirements you may have.

For daytime presentations (on campus) we recommend scheduling your presentation over the lunch period or afternoon to ensure maximum attendance. For evening presentations (on and off campus) we recommend starting your presentation at 18:00 or 18:30. Presentations take place Monday-Thursday inclusive.

Recruitment presentations are advertised via our website, email circulars and social media channels.

Where appropriate, the events will also be included in College-based marketing material.

We operate an electronic sign-up system from our events web page, which will provide a good indication of the number of students likely to attend your presentation. You will automatically be provided with this information approximately one week ahead of your event. 

Please note that events booked through the Employer Events team can only be attended by University of Exeter students and graduates. 

In order to benefit from all the publicity opportunities and get the best attendance, we urge you to book a date with us as early as possible - many employers secure their preferred dates when we first open for bookings. 

Our presentation admin fee (£95 + VAT) applies to all evening presentations (please note that this fee is levied regardless of the location of your presentation).

Room hire charges apply from 17:30 when on-campus. Room hire also applies to presentations which start before and crossover the 18:00 threshold while on-campus. Additional charges will be levied for catering, equipment hire and AV support (please note catering is not permitted during daytime, on-campus events).

Any data provided to the University by any party will be processed in accordance with Student Employability and Academic Success (SEAS) Privacy Policy
