Recruitment Presentations

Presentations provide the ideal opportunity to meet students who are particularly interested in your company and for you to make them aware of the opportunities you can offer.

Autumn Bookings and COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

The University remains committed to ensuring the safety of those participating in our events. We currently expect students will be returning to campus for at least some teaching and are awaiting further confirmation regarding their timetabling and teaching format for the autumn term. With this return we are also looking to how we might reintroduce employer activity back to campus. If you would like to discuss a potential engagement on one of our sites please get in touch with the team via gradrec@exeter.ac.uk. Please bear in mind that all physical bookings are subject to the latest COVID19 guidance.

If you are considering delivering a recruitment presentation event exclusively for Exeter students, you are welcome to get in touch with us at gradrec@exeter.ac.uk to talk through possible dates and our current processes. We can then follow up with you once we know more at a later date about the delivery format available If you are delivering virtual events which are open to students from multiple universities, then you can upload these for promotion, via Handshake. You can read more about this free service, here.

If you are a current student visiting this page, please visit Handshake for a list of all upcoming recruitment presentations.

Recruitment presentations take place throughout the academic year.

We advise that virtual recruitment presentations should last between 45 minutes and 1 hour.

We have two options for presentation delivery for events that are exclusive to Exeter students:

1. We can manage the set-up, registration, marketing and IT support for your event, using our preferred platform ‘Go To Webinar’. Please note that we won’t be able to share student data if you choose this option.

2. You can deliver the event via your preferred platform and simply provide us with all the necessary details to market the event.

Alternatively, if you are delivering virtual events which are open to students from multiple universities, then you can upload these for promotion, via Handshake. You can read more about this free service, here.

Virtual presentations are made accessible to all students across all campuses, but can also be targeted towards specific degrees or colleges.

We can accomodate presentations in the day time or early evening. Presentations take place Monday-Thursday inclusive.

If you would like to discuss a physical presentation please do reach out to the team via gradrec@exeter.ac.uk

Virtual recruitment presentations are advertised via our website, email circulars and social media channels.

Where appropriate, the events will also be included in College-based marketing material.

Event sign up is dependant on the platform of delivery - If a presentation is being run by us through our platform of choice then we are unable to share student data with you due to GDPR. We will update you with registration numbers from approximately one week before your event.

If managing the presentation through your choice of platform, then you are responsible for keeping us up to date on registration numbers so we can tailor marketing accordingly.

Please note that events booked through the Employer Events team should only be attended by University of Exeter students and graduates.

In order to benefit from all the publicity opportunities and get the best attendance, as well as to avoid clashes with other employers, we urge you to book a date with us as early as possible.

For Autumn 2021 virtual recruitment presentations will be free of charge, regardless of time of day or platform used.

We can advertise any externally organised employability-related events on our careers portal Handshake, and where appropriate include in our weekly student employer event newsletter (sent to all Streatham and St Luke's campus students - approximately 20,000).

You can connect to the University of Exeter on Handshake here and upload your external events and job postings to the platform, to reach our students.
