Emma Jolly

Senior Sustainability Consultant, Hoare Lea

Emma graduated from the University of Exeter (Cornwall Campus) in 2012 with a degree in Renewable Energy. Following her graduation, she completed a year internship as Sustainability and Low Carbon Project Officer as part of the joint estates services at the Penryn Campus where she was involved with energy management and reporting as well as coordinating and managing sustainability awareness initiatives.

 

Since then, Emma has worked as a consultant in London, Reading and now Bristol where she is a Senior Sustainability Consultant for Hoare Lea, a multidiscipline engineering consultancy. On a day to day basis, Emma works to make development of buildings a sustainable practice, whether it is new build, refurbishment, residential of commercial. She works closely with architects and contractors to ensure that sustainability is the core focus of design and construction as well as providing a healthy and durable building for future occupants. Emma is also a Career Mentor with the University of Exeter and a STEM Ambassador.
