Choose a career
We have gathered together a range of resources to help you think about what careers might suit you. You can also get in touch with alumni working in the sectors you're interested in through our Career Mentor and Exepert schemes.
Make yourself more employable
Each year we organise hundreds of events to help you improve your employability, many of them delivered on campus by top graduate employers. We also run the Exeter Award, designed to give you recognition for your extra-curricular activities and achievements.
Find a part-time job
Apart from the obvious benefit of providing ready cash, having a part-time job can provide you with an important addition to your CV; experience! We can help you find work on campus and in the local area.

Be an entrepreneur!
About 2% of UK graduates decide to become their own boss directly after graduation, but there are many more graduates who aspire to own their own business in the longer term and choose to gain experience in related sectors first. There are loads of ways the University of Exeter can support you if this is a route you're interested in.
Work overseas
Did you know, 65% of graduate employers think that candidates with international work experience are more employable? Many recruiters are keen to hear from applicants with language skills and a knowledge of other cultures. Our Global Employability Team can help you find international work placements and co-ordinate global employer presentations, drop-ins and employability skills workshops.
