International Career Mentoring Scheme

International Career Mentoring Pilot Scheme

We are delighted to introduce the International Career Mentoring Pilot Scheme. This pilot scheme is being run alongside the highly successful Career Mentor Scheme, primarily to support students planning to develop a career outside the UK. This pilot scheme differs from its UK based counterpart in that the mentoring partnership is likely to take place on an entirely virtual basis.

The International Career Mentoring Pilot Scheme gives the opportunity for students to work on a one-to-one basis with a professional working in their chosen future profession outside the UK. These mentors can provide guidance, commercial awareness, networking contacts, local employment market insight and general employability support to students who might otherwise not have any professional connections.

If you are a professional with international professional experience and are interested in mentoring a student, please visit our mentor pages.

**Applications now closed!**

All current mentoring opportunities are published on My Career Zone and can be found by clicking ‘Advanced Job Search’ and selecting ‘Mentoring Opportunity’ as the Employment type and ‘International’ for the Service. Alternatively, a summary of all opportunities is  shown in the RSS feed below, with a direct link through to the listing on My Career Zone for further information and application information.

Mentors for this scheme are all based outside the UK and will have knowledge and experience in sectors and recruitment processes specific to their location. If you would prefer to have a mentor with knowledge of UK careers pathways, please visit the Career Mentor Scheme pages for more information and to apply.

PLEASE NOTE: Applicants cannot apply to both the International Career Mentoring Pilot Scheme and the UK based Career Mentor Scheme.
