Support whilst on placement

Can I still access the University's support during my placement?

Throughout your work placement you are still a registered student at the university, even whilst on a yearlong placement. You can access all of the usual services either by visiting campus or remote access if you are not working locally.

Wellbeing Services at the Exeter campuses

Wellbeing Services are open and available to support you, wherever you are. The team are carrying out appointments online or by phone wherever possible. Please visit their webpages for more information on how you can access support.

Student Support at the Cornwall campuses

The Student Support team can support, advise and point you in the right direction with all sorts of issues such as general student life, academic issues, living in the community, personal relationships, general worries, as well as psychological or emotional concerns and mental health difficulties. Please visit their webpages for more information on how you can access support.

Placement team

If your placement module/programme is supported by the Placement team then you can access support through them by emailing their employability email addresses which you can find on the ELE page of the module/programme. They will be available throughout the year whilst the University is open during normal office hours 9am to 5pm. if you can't find their details then please email:

Streatham/St Luke's - placements@exeter.ac.uk

Penryn - penryn-placements@exeter.ac.uk

If your module/programme is not supported by the Placement team, we would recommend emailing your Module Convenor/Programme Director.
