My Career Zone

If you're a current student or recent graduate of the University of Exeter then you can use your Exeter username and password to login to our online system My Career Zone.

In My Career Zone you can:

  • Find graduate-level jobs
  • Look for part-time and casual work
  • Find internship opportunities
  • Search employability factsheets and FAQs
  • Book appointments with the careers service
  • View upcoming careers drop-in sessions
  • Book onto employability events

Setting preferences

When you first log in you will be asked to set your preferences. This enables some content in My Career Zone to be filtered according to the categories you choose here and will pull through jobs that are relevant to you onto your My Career Zone home page without you having to search for them. As this enables the system to work best for you, you will need to do this even if you are initially only wanting to book an appointment.

Don’t worry about missing out on content though, you will still be able to search and browse through content in other categories by searching for jobs. You can change your preferences whenever your interests change.

The preferences are set to filter by the type of jobs or opportunities you are interested in, the career that you are interested in pursuing and the discipline that you are currently studying. The preferences relate primarily to jobs. You can select up to three service area categories, two career options and one discipline. You will only have to set your preferences once when you first log in and will need to do this whether you are interested in job vacancies or careers service appointments.

As this is a new system we welcome any feedback that you might have and please let us know if you are experiencing any issues with using the system. Please contact Exeter Careers careers@exeter.ac.uk
