Academic Outcomes
The research component of the project has now been completed. As well as academic outputs, the success of the research has led to follow-on funding for a new project examining the bioprotective roles of organisms growing on coastal rocks and structures. Guidance on the ecological enhancement of hard coastal structures has also been produced for the Environment Agency in collaboration with Treweek Environmental Consultants. The full guidance can be downloaded here. Guidance on ecological enhancement in ports and harbours has also been produced as part of a further Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Portland Port. See our news page for more information.
