BA Politics and Law (Joint Honours)This programme aims to provide you with a clear understanding of political and judicial processes, and how they interact. There is a particular emphasis in this programme on the role of European law and politics and the debates around the ‘Europeanization’ of British legal and political systems. NB: This Joint Honours programme does not provide exemption from any part of the professional qualifications as a barrister or solicitor. Programme structure:
Year 1 (Level 1) • Modern Political Analysis 1 (15 credit) • Modern Political Analysis 2 (15 credit) • 30 credits (typically 1-2 modules) from Politics. Current list:
• Introduction to Law (30 credit) • Constitutional and Administrative Law (30 credit)
Year 2 (Level 2)
• 60 credits (typically 1-2 modules) from Politics. Current list:
• European Union Law (30 credits) • 30 credits (typically 1-2 modules) from Law
Year 3 (Level 3)
