The University’s School of Law has a world-wide reputation for excellence. All academic members of the Law School are committed to providing quality teaching and to carrying out original research in various specialist fields. The School enjoys links with the legal profession in the region.

There are many opportunities for students to become involved with pro-bono work at Tremough. A group has recently been formed and links forged with many local organisations including:

• The Citizens Advice Bureau
• Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change - a regeneration organisation tackling issues connected with social conditions and the local environment
• The Criminal Justice Integrated Team based in Falmouth offering probation and rehabilitation support to drug users and criminal offenders and their families
• Truro Combined Court

The School is continually seeking out further opportunities for students to complement their studies and by September 09 intends to have an extensive pro-bono programme.
