Car parking

Like many university campuses, the Penryn Campus has limited car parking. As such, potential car park users are encouraged to use alternative, sustainable transport. You can find out more about travel, transport and parking on campus and around the Falmouth and Penryn areas on the Falmouth Exeter Plus website. The campus operates an Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) system in which you pay as you leave, with charges outlined below.

Monday to Friday, between 8am and 6pm (daytime):

  • Up to 1 hour: Free
  • 1 - 2 hours: £1.75
  • 2 - 4 hours: £2.25
  • 4 - 10 hours: £3.25

Monday to Friday, between 6pm and 8am (overnight):

  • Free but ANPR system still in operation

Weekends (6pm Friday to 8am Monday):

  • Free but ANPR system still in operation

Permits and salary sacrifice scheme

If you work or study at the Penryn Campus you may be eligible to apply for a parking permit. To apply for a permit, you'll need to log in to Falmouth Exeter Plus's online application and payment portal (for staff as well as students).

Details, FAQs and contacts for queries are all available here. (Information has changed for the year beginning 1 September 2014, so even if you're an existing car park user and / or permit-holder, it's worth double-checking the relevant pages.)
