Sports Centre
Our Sports Centre provides opportunities for students, staff and the wider community, of all levels and ability, to participate in sport and physical activity. Full information about all sports facilities can be found on the Falmouth Exeter Plus Sports Centre webpages.
Fitness suite
The fitness suite facility consists of Life Fitness' most recent cardiovascular equipment, resistance and free weight areas. Inductions, help and advice are available via our friendly and fully qualified team of staff.
Exercise studio
The exercise studio offers a wide range of classes that caters for everyone. Aerobics, Yoga, Pilates and Spinning are excellent methods of keeping fit, healthy and relaxed and are available throughout the week. Classes change each term so check out the studio timetable for up-to-date timetable information. You can pre-book your class in person at the Sports Centre up to one week in advance. A variety of fitness classes are organised to cater for our diverse user group. You can attend some high or medium intensity sessions, or relax in sessions such as Yoga. Table tennis tables are also available to hire throughout the year.
Non-members are welcome. All our instructors are highly qualified, motivating and willing to listen to suggestions.
Multi Use Games Area (MUGA)
A floodlit outdoor Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) is available for hire for 5-a-side football and tennis. Please contact the Sports Centre for further information on bookings. For all court bookings, please contact the Sports Centre reception on ext 1770 or 01326 370770.
Running on (and around) the Cornwall Campus
The campus has new one- and two-mile running routes and an orienteering route. These have been set up with the help of the FLEXSI project, funded by Sport England and part of a national Active University plan to encourage students to participate in sports and physical activity. There are bookable slots available on regular lunchtime runs which start from the Sports Centre. Please wear suitable shoes, appropriate clothes and remember to bring a drink and any inhalers or other medication. All abilities are welcome, whether you're just getting into running or trying to knock seconds off your 10k time.
Membership
There are several different categories and types of membership available to suit all users, ranging from all-inclusive Gold Membership to standard ‘pay as you go' rates. Memberships last for one year from the date of application, unless you specifically ask for a shorter time period (all student memberships run on the academic year). Membership entitles you to certain free activities and vastly reduced activity prices, as well reduced prices for sessions and courses. We strongly advise all potential members to read the terms and conditions before joining.
